Fisher-Perrier named Police Jury board member

St. Charles Parish Councilwoman Julia Fisher-Perrier has been elected as an at-large executive board member of the Policy Jury Association of Louisiana. “Throughout the past year I have been campaigning for this seat statewide by attending region meetings and getting to know all 64 parishes in the state. At the convention, the group worked hard on the campaign and showed that St. Charles Parish is a powerful force when we work together,” Fisher-Perrier said. “This seat on the executive board will benefit St. Charles Parish by giving us a permanent seat at the table on state issues and strengthen our voice as a parish.”

The at-large member must run for re-election annually as long the candidate remains elected on the local level.

Fisher-Perrier serves as the District IIV Councilwoman for St. Charles Parish.

The association was created in 1924 to improve parish government in the State of Louisiana. Membership is open to each of the 64 parishes in the State of Louisiana, whether organized as a Police Jury, Parish Council or Parish Commission.
