On Saturday ( Oct. 6), musician Casey Saba will perform at the German Coast Farmers’ Market from 9 to 11 a.m. The Oktober Fest also will feature the River Region Master Gardeners and the Anytime Fitness Dancers.
Saba is from New Orleans and he has been singing and performing since he was a very young lad. He was born into an interestingly odd musical family. For instance, “House of the Rising Sun” is considered a Christmas song in the Saba family. Casey’s signature vocal tone is deep, gravelly and powerful although he can still hit a few pretty high notes. He also performs stand-up comedy and has been the Creative Director and Instructor for several Improv Comedy Troupes (including “Men In Suspenders”) as well as hosting various Open Mic Music and Comedy Showcases all around Louisiana.
