Engagement: Manning-Duplantis

Carla Manning and Tom Manning, of Magnolia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Nicole Manning, of Ruston, to Nathan David Duplantis, also of Ruston. Nathan is the son of Craig and Paula Duplantis, of Luling.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Burris, of Tulsa, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Bob Wood, of McLoud, Okla., and Mr. and Mrs. Foster Manning, of Singapore.

She is a 2002 graduate of Magnolia High School and graduated in 2006 from Louisiana Tech University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in human resource management. She is currently employed by Ouachita Independent Bank in Monroe, as a staff accountant.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Louis “Dee” Duplantis and Jewel Duplantis, of Luling, and the late Paul E. Cornibe and Mary Cornibe, of Kenner.

He is a 2005 graduate of Hahnville High School. He graduated in 2008 from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation, and in 2010 with a master’s degree in organizational industrial psychology. He is currently employed as a pilot for Pafford EMS Airwing Division.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m. Oct. 5, 2013, in the Norton Building in Ruston. A reception will follow immediately after the ceremony at the same location. Invitations will be sent.
