DHS Wildcats Robotics to compete in international robotics competition

The DHS Wildcats Robotics will compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition – the Bayou Regional – on April 3-5 at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner.

This international, high school competition blends science, technology, engineering and teamwork into a high-voltage, action-packed battle of the robots.

This year’s theme, Aerial Assist, challenges students to launch an exercise ball through a mounted target, while using other robots to assist. Wildcat Robotics will spend April 3 and 4 in practice runs and qualifying matches.

The championships begin April 5 at 9 a.m.

Last year, the team placed second overall in the competition.
