Enjoy the sweet sounds at Community Chorus’ FREE concert

Community chorus representative Marilyn Richoux, along with other choir members, cordially invites the public to attend the Spring Concert of the Community Chorus of the River Parishes on May 23. “The chorus’ spring concert is a great cultural experience for residents of St. Charles Parish,” said Richoux.

The concert is free and is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church located on River Road in Destrehan.

Richoux says the group’s performance will be inspirational in theme and is the ideal event for family entertainment and all those who love music.

The performance will include selections such as You’ll Never Walk Alone, I’ll Walk With God, Precious Lord, Take My Hand, Swing Down Chariot, The Impossible Dream and other favorites.

Richoux also points out that the chorus is open to all who love to sing and those interested in joining the chorus are welcomed to.

At present, the chorus has members from St. James, St. John and St. Charles Parishes and continues to grow in number.

Its mission is to provide cultural enrichment by joining voices.

Remember that the concert is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted.

The Chorus performs at no charge for church groups, Council on Aging, Veterans organizations and the Parish.

Bring family and friends and come early to get a good seat.
