CASA welcomes Charlita Patterson

Child Advocacy Services (CASA) welcomes Charlita Patterson to the Child Advocacy Service’s Madere Center as the new CASA Advocate Supervisor. Patterson’s ultimate passion and mission is to be a public servant for abused and neglected children in hopes that it will make a difference in the over all well-being of their lives.

Patterson has six-plus years experience as a social worker. She worked for the mayor’s division of social services as the assistant to the director of social services. She also taught teenage pregnancy and prevention classes and served as a counselor for Louisiana Family Council.

Patterson was active in a program “Each One Save One” in which she served as a mentor.

She possesses a bachelor’s degree in social work in which she is a registered social worker.

Patterson considers herself blessed to live in such a wonderful community in which she has the opportunity to serve and to be a change agent for a cause that she holds dear to her heart; children.

Charlita looks forward to working with this parish, the CASA staff, and all who share in the overall vision in regards to ensuring the vitality of CASA.

CASA offers a variety of services to children, including Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA. The CASA program recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers to speak up in court on behalf of children in need of care.
