Booster club remembers a GREAT volunteer

The Mimosa Booster Club donated a memorial bench at the west bank bridge park to a dedicated and beloved volunteer, the late Marsha Barr.

Club officers said Barr “did so much for the organization that it took four volunteers to fill her shoes.”

“For 20 plus years, she dedicated herself to this booster club,” said friend and co-volunteer Bobby Lovergne. “She never said no to anybody and always smiled.”

Barr volunteered and held several offices with the booster club, various PTA’s and the Hahnville Touchdown Club until her death of a sudden heart attack at the age of 52 in August of 2005.

Booster club officers who dedicated the memorial included Tammy Toups, Lisa Ballard, Travis Rabalais, Jenny Zoglio, Joe Nunez, Craig Perrier, Pat Bergeron, Bobby Lovergne, Bob Averite, and William Debruler.  President. Terry Cooper and Christian Garret.
