“A Model Summer” by Paulina Porizkova is about an innocent 15-year-old girl who is thrown into the world of modeling in Paris.
Instead of the glamorous life she thought she would have, it is a vicious world of backstabbing and temptations. She quickly has to learn the tricks of the trade to survive the life of a model.
The young Swedish girl Jirina Radovanovicova is an outcast until she is discovered by Jean-Pierre, who sends her to model with his agency in Paris for the summer.
After a month of unemployment, Jirina begins booking jobs left and right. The alcohol, the drugs and the sex quickly become irresistible and the life of a real model begins.
The story shows how easy it is for teenagers to fall into a dark world of drugs and sex when they feel defeated and lonely.
“A Model Summer” is the best book I have ever read. The excitement made me curious and kept me reading. This book is for mature readers because a lot of the content is about sex and drugs.
