Canaan Baptist Church in Killona held its annual Vacation Bible School in July at the Killona Fire Department building.
The theme was “Soul Survivors on Danger Island.”
Mrs. Ferdneit Harris and some adult and youth teachers hosted five nights of prayer, Bible teaching, games, crafts, music and good food. During the week-long event, Mr. Curtis Pierre, or “The Real Samba Man,” returned to Killona with his son, Bomani, after being gone for 25 years. He hosted a workshop for the group. Pierre allowed everyone to play and become familiar with different instruments.
