Exchange student needs a new host family … can you help?

BOUTTE – Imagine being in another world where nothing is familiar. No one speaks your language. No one knows you. You recognize nothing. That is the reality for 17-year-old Ka-Yue (right, and below with school counselor Michelle Loughnane), a foreign exchange student from Hong Kong now at Hahnville High School, who is in search of a family to host him for the rest of the school year.

“He is a great kid,” says Kim Moore, area coordinator for the exchange program.

“He is intellectually gifted and is here to experience life in the U.S.”

Ka-Yue’s interests include reading, piano, photography, computers, web design and animals. To host Ka-Yue, call Kim Moore at 504-460-3236.
