Procession planned for fallen Hahnville soldier

Family and friends of the late PFC Ashton Flair request the community’s support as his body is brought back to Louisiana and laid to rest.

Flair, a 2020 Hahnville High School graduate, enlisted in the United States Army between his junior and senior year of high school. He died while in Advanced Individual Training.

On Tuesday, Oct. 27, supporters are asked to pay respects to his service by lining the procession route.

The procession will take place from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport to Greenwood Funeral Home, located at 5200 Canal Blvd. in New Orleans. The route is Loyola to I-10, I-10 to I-610, Exit Canal Blvd.

Flair’s flight is scheduled to land Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 5:22 p.m.

Visitation and the service will be at Holy Family Church, located at 155 Holy Family Lane in Luling.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, October 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Services will begin at noon Thursday with Interment at Metairie Cemetery.
