Jefferson Parish will close Airline Highway in both directions at the St. Charles/Jefferson Parish line, according to the St. Charles Parish Emergency Operations Center.In addition, at 6 p.m. today, the Army Corps of Engineers will be applying sandbags and HESCO baskets across Hwy. 90 at the Diversion, near the St. Charles Parish and Jefferson Parish border. This means that Hwy. 90 will be CLOSED at the Diversion until the threat of storm surge passes.
Citizens may utilize I-310 to travel to and from Jefferson Parish. Also, the River Road, LA-18, may be used to RE-ENTER St. Charles Parish FROM Jefferson Parish.
