Suspects are innocent until proved guilty in a court of law

Arrests

•Tessa M. Landry, 35, of 229 Mimosa Ave. in Luling was arrested on Aug. 23 and charged with possession of a legend drug with intent to distribute somas and reckless operation.

•Richard K. Woodward, 43, of 3619 Arkansas Ave. in Kenner was arrested on Aug. 20 and charged with possession of methadone, not stopping at a stop sign, no turn signal, suspended driver’s license, on a St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office and a fuguitve for the Kenner Police Department.

•Mildred B. Brewer, 70, of 264 Carolyn Dr. in Destrehan was arrested on Aug. 20 and charged with distribution and possession of methadone, possession of hydrocodone, possession of diazepam and possession of alprazolam.

•Dev A. Persaud, 42, of 134 West B St. in Norco was arrested on Aug. 20 and charged with aggravated rape.

•Grant M. Walker Jr., 34, of 128 East 12th St. in Edgard was arrested on Aug. 21 and charged with aggravated battery, simple battery and aggravated assault.

•Juvenile, 16, of Des Allemands was arrested on Aug. 14 and charged with second degree battery and simple battery.

•Kwanza Ny’Keyva, 19, of 813 East Terrance St. in New Sarpy was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged with armed robbery and second degree battery.

•Juvenile, 16, of Luling was arrested on Aug. 27 and charged with illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.

•Lewis Orvett, 26, 241 Annex St. in New Sarpy was arrested on Aug. 25 and charged with posession of stolen property, driving under suspended liscense, owner to secure registration, switched license plate, attachment SCSO, fugitive other agency probabtion and parole.

•Kimberly Christine Conley, 37, of 148 Cinclare Dr. in Thiboaux was arrested on Aug. 24 and charged with warrant for probation and parole.

•Jimmy Petetant, 27, of 304 Boutte Estates Dr. in Boutte was arrested on Aug. 24 and charged with speeding, driving under suspension, posession with intent of schedule II narcotics, three SCSO attachements.

•Tracy Duncan, 28, of 197 Goodhope St. in Norco was arrested on Aug. 25 and charged with contempt of court, warrant out of SCSO, four attachements out of JPSO.

•Christopher Lynn Avila, 31, of 3108 Minnesota Ave. in Metairie was arrested on Aug. 24 and charged with a warrant for 1st degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

DWI

•Luis E. Bustillo, 45, of 4119 Delaware Ave. in Kenner was arrested on Aug. 23 and charged with DWI, speeding, open container, driving without a license.

•William Cain Jr., 20, of 137 River Village Dr. in Destrehan was arrested on Aug. 24 and charged with second offense DWI, speeding and open container.

•Jesus Antonio Vieda, 23, of 111 Fir St. in Boutte was arrrested on Aug. 25 and charged with DWI, ROMV, operating a vehicle with a lawful presence in the United States.

•Sandra Legrande, 47 of 220 Kirk Dr. in Paradis was arrested on Aug. 25 and charged with DWI, speeding, open container, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of hydrocodone.

•Quinton Cordier, 24, of 7900 Mercier St. in New Orleans was arrested on Aug. 26 and charged with DWI and reckless driving.

•Johnathan Bishop, 17, of 3983 LA 306 in Des Allemands was arrested on Aug. 25 and charged with underage DWI and hit and run.

•Stacey Bryan, 26, of 324 Evelyn Dr. of Luling was arrested on Aug. 27 and charged with DWI, careless operation and no driver’s license on person.

Theft

•A PlayStation 2, a Nintendo and assorted games were stolen from 18 Bocage Dr. in Destrehan on Aug. 20.

•Assorted tools, assorted cable3 and assorted copper wire were stolen from 16960 U.S. 90 in Des Allemands on Aug. 21.

•A video game console and assorted X-Box computer games, valued at $600, were stolen from 26 Bocage Dr. in Luling on Aug. 23.

•Assorted guns were stolen from 153 Travis St. in Paradis on Aug. 22.

•A wheel chair, tool box with assorted tools, an amplifier, a speaker, a case of transmission fluid and five coat rods for closets were stolen from 307 Riverpoint Dr. in Destrehan on Aug. 22.

•Assorted Nintendo DS video games were stolen from 42 Bocage Dr. in Destrehan on Aug. 23.

•A 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra, valued at $25,000, was stolen from 3 Ormond Trace in Destrehan on Aug. 18.

•A CD player, valued at $150, was stolen from a vehicle at 707 Kinler St. in Luling on Aug. 24.

•Assorted Nintendo games, an i-Pod and an i-Pod docking station, valued at $265, was stolen from 42 Bocage Dr. in Destrehan on Aug. 24.

•A gas powered blower, a hammer drill, a black skill saw, a self-propelled lawn mower and a jig saw, valued at $850, was stolen from 12 Pinto Lane in St. Rose on Aug. 26.

•A Pioneer stereo, valued at $200, was stolen from 318 Ormond Meadows Dr. in Destrehan on Aug. 27.

•A 10 inch electric Theodolite with battery and accessory, a Bobcat auger attachement, a 500 foot radious electric self leveling laser with attachment, a 3 inch wacker water pump, a welding machine, a sand blaster, a pressure washer, a ban saw, an impact wrench with accessories, a Z generator, a concrete vibrator and pipe threading equipment, valued at $10,835, was stolen from 481 Sugarland Parkway in Luling on Aug 27.

•A 1999 Cadillac, valued at $600, was stolen from 10289 Highway 61 in St. Rose on Aug. 27.

Incidents

•A 49-year-old Luling woman was the victim of purse snatching at 140 Angus Dr. in Luling on Aug. 18. The suspect was described as a black male, wearing a black T-shirt and denim jeans. Call 985-783-6807 with any information regarding the suspect.

•Edgardo Olman, 26, drowned while swimming in the Bonnet Carre Spillway with a friend. The friend noticed that Olman’s head was no longer above water. The SCSO Marine Division arrived to the scene and Olman was pronounced dead.

Correction

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s office issued the following correction.

Carolyn Brumley was not charged with the following as stated in the Aug. 23 sheriff’s reports: poss. with intent to dist. cocaine, poss. of Marajuana, poss. of Drug Paraphernalia, poss. of a firearm while in poss. of a CDS or resisting an officer. She was only charged with distribution of hydrocodone, poss. of a legend drug, and dist. of crack cocaine.
