The current controversy surrounding Councilman & Fire Chief Larry Cochran and the St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department needs to be resolved in a fair, open, transparent, and unbiased manner. It also does not reflect that the audit determined the accounting and reporting policies of the St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department do, in fact, conform to generally accepted accounting principles as applicable to governmental units.
