ST. CHARLES PARISH – An “alcohol-free weekend” will be observed the first weekend of Alcohol Awareness Month: April 6-8. The Bayou Council on Alcoholism urges parents not to consume alcoholic beverages for a 72-hour period to demonstrate to young people that alcohol isn’t required to have a good time.
