‘Frisco Fest’ spring arts & crafts festival
The San Francisco Plantation in Garyville, will host the 3rd annual ‘Frisco Fest’ on March 11-12.
Events include 25 mile bike tour, 1 mile fun run and 5k run, arts and crafts, plants, flowers, strawberries, kid activities, garden exhibits, educational programs by LSU Ag Master Gardeners, a Chef’s Choice cook-off and a washer board tournament. Nicholls to hold Jubilee Festival
Nicholls State University will hold the eighth annual Jubilee Festival of the Arts & Humanities March 15 – April 12. The kickoff celebration will be March 15, 9a.m. – 4p.m. in front of Talbot Hall. Holy Family Lenten fish fry
The Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council #9933 is holding annual Lenten fish fries on Fridays during Lent. The meals will be served at the community center at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling, Dinner will be from 5pm until sold out. Menu includes fried fish, french fries, fried shrimp, coleslaw and bread. Cost is $6.00 for a large plate and $5.00 for a small plate. Dessert and cold drinks will be available.

St. Anthony fish fry to benefit HHS band trip
St. Charles KC Council 2409 will host a Fish Fry on Friday, March 10 from 5pm to 8pm at St. Anthony Church in Luling. Dinners will consist of fried catfish, salad, bread and vegetable for $6.00 per plate. Drinks and desserts will be available. All proceeds from this dinner will go to the Hahnville High School Band’s trip to Washington DC.

Norco fish fry
The Knight of Columbus Red Church Council 3634 in Norco will once again be sponsoring their annual Lenten fish fry. The event will be held at the KC Home in Norco every Friday during Lent from 4:30pm-7pm. The meal will cost $7.00, consisting of fried fish, french fries, cole slaw, hush puppies and cake, The ever popular onion mums and soft drinks will also be available.

St. Joseph Alter
Gerry and Verina Bourg of Hahnville will host a St. Joseph’s Alter at their home located at 319 Lowe Street, Hahnville, from 9am till 5pm on March 19. Everyone is invited to attend.

Business fair at HHS
HHS will host the St. Charles Business Fest and Health Fair on Friday, March 10 from 12:00 till 5:00 and Saturday, March 11 from 9:00 till 2:00. Don’t miss this great opportunity to see St. Charles Parish business & organizations display and sell merchandise & services. There will be food, fun and door prizes. Admission is free to the public.

HHS band to hold golf fundraiser
Hahnville High School Band Booster Club will hold its 12th annual fundraiser golf tourney on Saturday, March 18, with a 1 p.m. tee time. Five bucks buys a bag
The Social Concerns Thrift Shop will have a $5 bag sale on March 11, 9-3:45. The sale will include all winter clothes and shoes. On March 13, the store will be closed for changeover to summer apparel. The store will re-open on March 14 with summer items.

Hesston College Chorale to perform
The Hesston College Chorale will present a program of worship through sacred music at 10:30 am, Sunday, March 12 at Des Allemands Mennonite Church, 17447 Old Spanish Trail in Des Allemands. Directed by Jacob Rittenhouse, the choir will perform works in a variety of styles ranging from Renaissance to contemporary as well as spirituals and sacred hymn arrangements. Relay for Life
The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life in St. Charles Parish is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2006, 12:00pm- till. Cancer Survivors Walk starts at 6:00pm St. Charles Parish West Bank Bridge Park. FOOD! FUN! MUSIC! GAMES FOR THE KIDS! The public is invited to attend.
