Des Allemands Mardi Gra parade is on

DES ALLEMANDS – The parade rolls Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. with the Carnival’s officials Dance coming a week earlier, on Feb. 10 at the Father Mac Community Center at St. Gertrude Church in Des Allemands. Cost: $30. Info: 985-758-2161.

Krewe of Lul releases meeting schedule

LULING – The Krewe of Lul parade is scheduled to roll at noon on Feb. 17. Until then, all riders will meet every Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Ramada Hotel located at 13889 River Rd. Entry fees: $600 for large floats and $400 for small floats. Information: Call Debbie Dufrense Vial at 985-785-8273.

Farmer’s Market holds kid parade

DESTREHAN – The German Coast Farmer’s Market invites all kids 8 and under to decorate their wagons and participate in the Kid Krewe de Market parade on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. at Ormond Plantation. Regional quilting group holds meeting

LAPLACE – The Quilting Fans Quilt Guild meets on the second Monday of each month from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Parish Library at 2920 Hwy 50 in LaPlace.

Norco church hosts religious revival

LULING – The winter/spring session of the Bible Center Church’s ladies bible study group, To Live as Christ, is kicking off. Morning and evening sessions are held at 422 Barton Ave. in Luling. LULING – The Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council 9933 will sponsor a baked chicken dinner in the Parish Center on Sunday, Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. until sold out. Cost: $8 for adults and $5 for kids. Proceeds will support the 2007 council activities.
