Stop the Violence rally

LAPLACE – The first Annual God Save My Parish Stop the Violence rally will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 in LaPlace.God Save My Parish (GSMP) was created in response to increasing murder rates in the River Parishes.

The event will feature free food, a space walk and music by C-Dash, J.O.Y. Mime and more. Headline speakers include St. John the Baptist Parish President Natalie Robottom and Pastor Donald Brown Sr.GSMP is lobbying sponsors to help reach out and bring future generations together to build a relationship and create peace. They are asking for any donations to assist in a successful rally. The event will take place at the Hwy. 51 Park in LaPlace.
