Sheriff offers hunter education

KILLONA – The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office will offer two hunter education course sessions to the public on the following dates:

•Friday, July 11 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, July 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

•Friday, July 25 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, July 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The course is designed for young hunters seeking to obtain their first hunting license as well as hunters who seek to acquire an out of state license.

All classes will be held at the Richard Benoit Memorial Firearms Range located behind the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center in Killona.

Participants will be required to complete one weekend class for certification purposes.
