Remembering the 1811 Slave Revolt

ST. ROSE – A program entitled “Slave Songs and Spirituals” will be held at the Mt. Zion Church in St. Rose on April 16 at 5 p.m.

The program is part of a year-long intiative to remember the 1811 Slave Revolt. Dr. Willis Patterson, Jacqueline Page-Green, Richard Hudson and Charles Lloyd will present.
