Paul Maillard Road revitalization public workshop

LULING – A public workshop on the revitalization of Paul Maillard Road is being held Saturday, June 29 from 9 a.m.-noon.

St. Charles Parish is planning the revitalization of Paul Maillard Road in Luling and is asking citizens to become involved in the planning process.

The parish is seeking practical and resourceful ideas to improve the corridor and residents, employees, businesses, students, neighbors and friends are invited to voice their opinions.

In addition, health screenings will be provided at the event and those who bring a bike will receive a special prize.
The workshop will be held in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot located at 1313 Paul Maillard Road in Luling.

In an effort to gain community input on the Paul Maillard Road Revitalization Plan, the St. Charles Parish Department of Planning and Zoning has four chalkboards soliciting readers’ suggestions for the improvement of Paul Maillard Road through Luling and Boutte.

The chalkboards are located at the Triangle Grocery (corner of Paul Maillard Road and River Road), the St. Charles Parish Business and Career Solutions Center at Thrift Village Mall, the Rotolo’s / old Post Office location (near the intersection of Paul Maillard and Highway 90) and inside St. Charles Parish Hospital near the cafeteria.

Parish staff will monitor the boards regularly to photograph the results and erase comments when inappropriate.
