Pass along plant exchange Oct. 10

DESTREHAN – A “Pass Along” plant exchange will be held on Oct. 10. All are invited to participate by bringing a well-established, healthy specimen in a one-half gallon or larger container.

Each person will be allowed one entry. The botanical or pet name of the plant should be included, along with simple instructions for care.

Old Southern plants are always very popular, such as those “passed down” or “cut” from plants of family and friends – those that we fondly remember seeing in our grandparents’ yards.

The plant exchanges are always interesting and fun as someone always enters a very unusual and sometimes rare plant.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. Exchange will take place at 11 a.m.
