LULING – A fireworks extravaganza will once again cap off St. Charles Parish’s Independence Day Celebration, from 6 to 9 p.m. July 3 at the West Bank Bridge Park, 13825 River Road.
Those include a patriotic musical performance by the St. Charles Parish Community Band under the direction of David Rosenthal. There will also be a red, white and blue clown with balloon animals for the kids as well as an F-15 flyover.
Opening ceremonies, including the national anthem and a 21-gun salute, will begin at 7:30 p.m. Attendees will help countdown to the flyover shortly thereafter. A DJ will entertain the crowd throughout the night.
Local nonprofit groups will sell food and drinks, including jambalaya, hamburgers, hot dogs, snowballs and baked goods.
