Listen to best marching bands in state at Destrehan

DESTREHAN – Destrehan High School, home of “The Pride of Destrehan” marching band, will be hosting the 3rd Annual Louisiana Marching Band Circuit (LM8C) New Orleans Regional Competition on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 1 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

The event will feature high school bands from Lake Arthur, Archbishop Rummel, Jesuit, Mandeville, E.D. White Catholic, South Terrebonne, Terrebonne, Vandebilt Catholic, Thibodaux, Acadiana, Denham Springs, Central Lafourche and Destrehan.

The LMBC New Orleans Regional Competition offers participating bands a chance to present their shows to a live audience and to be rated by a panel of judges from across the United States. The judges offer suggestions on how each band can improve their field shows in preparation for the LMBC Championship and the Louisiana Showcase of Marching Bands in November. The event is open to the public.
