LULING – The Notre Dame Seminary will hold a three-day long Lenten Mission Feb. 18-21 with the theme of “The year of faith and the new evangelism.” Activities will take place each day with confessions from 6:20-6:50 p.m. and mass beginning at 7 p.m.
On Feb. 19 the subject will be “The New Evangelization: Implications for Parish Life”, which will examine Pope Benedict XVI’s call to the entire Church to embrace the new evangelization. The new evangelization and implications for each believer will be explained.
On Feb. 20 the subject will be “The New Evangelization and the Christian Family,” which will examine the family as the domestic church – where each believer nurtures their faith and is formed by family.
On Feb. 21 the subject will be “The New Evangelization and Authentic Conversion,” which focuses on the gifts bestowed on each disciple. Father Wehner will reflect on how the gifts of the Holy Spirit equip each person to not only become the person that God has created us to be but then how conversion to Christ impels them to be proclaimers of the Gospel.
The events will be held at the Holy Family Church located at 155 Holy Family Lane in Luling.
