ST. CHARLES PARISH – Local letter carriers are calling on the community to participate in the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger food drive on May 9.
Residents of the River Parishes are asked to place nonperishable food items such as canned food, pasta and cereal, in a bag and put it in or beside their mailbox.
Letter carriers will pick up the bags. Items will be delivered to local food banks to help local families in need. in St. Charles, items will be given to Social Concerns.
