Dogs can enjoy 2nd Annual Bark at Park

LULING – St. Charles Parish dogs will once again have their day at the second annual ‘Bark at the Bridge Park’ festival on Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 4 at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling.

The event will feature raffles, a rummage sale, music, pony rides, adoptions and pet goods and services. Pet parents are welcome to bring their leashed and vaccinated pets to take portraits with Santa. There will also be a pet-owner look-alike contest.

The event will serve as an opportunity for pet owners to get their animals up-to-date on rabies shots for $10 or receive a microchip for $20. Licensed veterinarian Jena Troxler will administer shots. Pet owners who can show proof of their pet’s current rabies vaccine will receive a free bag of Halo pet food.

Those looking to add a new pet to their families this Christmas should also attend to see animals up for adoption.

All proceeds will support the new animal shelter project and the St. Charles Humane Society, the non-profit organization that handles medical care for St. Charles Parish animals in need and shelter residents. For more information, visit:
