BOURG – A Christmas boat parade will be held in Bourg at 5:30 p.m.
Local pleasure boats decorate with Christmas lights and parade down the bayou to Montegut three miles past Sacred Heart Church. People gather along the sides of the bayou to watch the parade. Families also light fires lining the bayou sides.
The event will be held at Bayou Terrebonne at Bourg Volunteer Fire Station at 4402 Louisiana 24 in Bourg. For more information, contact Kevin Belanger (985) 594-2125.
