8-week seminar on spirit, literature

NEW ORLEANS – Our Lady of Holy Cross College announces its first continuing education program for 2010, an eight-week workshop, “Spirituality & Literature,” starting Thursday, Feb. 18. Susan Blalock, Ph.D., emeritus professor, author, lecturer and scholar on the subjects of poetry, creative writing, language and literature, will facilitate group discussions of short works by several contemporary American authors.

Anyone interested in developing a deeper understanding of spirituality is invited to attend. Classes will be held at Our Lady of Holy Cross College, 4123 Woodland Ave., New Orleans, on consecutive Thursdays, Feb. 18 and 25; March 4, 11, 18 and 25; and April 8 and 15 at 6:30 – 8 p.m. The cost
is $250.

Upcoming classes to be offered by the Department of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning include: Church History: The Early Councils of the Church (March); Science & Religion (April) and Faith-Based Enterprises: The Basics for Practitioners (May).
