3rd annual teen library lock-in

DESTREHAN – St. Charles Parish Library invites teens ages 12 to 17 to attend its third annual lock-in at East Regional Library on Saturday, July 27 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 28.

The theme this year is Superheroes and Villains, inspired by popular movies, comics and graphic novels. The library will be transformed into the mean streets of a metropolis with science labs for creating green slime and ice cream, a costume and foam \“weapon\” making studio, challenging games, hidden superhero doubloons, a photobooth, LARP tournament and more. Superhero and villain themed movies will be shown and computers will be available for use throughout the event. Pizza and refreshments will be served in the Cowabunga! Cafe.

Those wishing to attend the lock-in must have a parent or guardian sign and return a permission slip to any St. Charles Parish Library branch no later than Friday, July 19 at 5:00 p.m. There are only 75 spots available and will be filled on a first come first served basis. Permission slips and information packets are available at all branches and online at www.myscpl.org/teens. The East Regional Library is located at 160 West Campus Drive in Destrehan.
