Early voting in St. Charles Parish ended Tuesday, Oct. 29 for the 2024 presidential and congressional elections. As of Monday, 10,247 people voted early in St. Charles Parish, according to Brian Champagne, registrar of voters.
In the last presidential election, 11,613 St. Charles residents cast an early ballot by the second to last day of early voting, according to Champagne.
Champagne said voters should know this year’s ballot is short, with voters casting their ballots for president, congressman and one constitutional amendment.
He said a sample ballot is available on the registrar’s website and on the voter portal at geauxvote.com.
Voting ends at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Residents can find polling locations on the registrar’s website.
“We will begin counting [ballots] at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 in the main courtroom at the courthouse,” Champagne said.
He said he hopes all results for St. Charles Parish will be tallied by 11 p.m. on election night.
