Wildcats, Tigers stay hot on the court, DHS girls fall

The Hahnville Tigers were one of the surprise teams last season, making it all the way to the state finals. This year, Hahnville isn’t sneaking up on anyone, but is still putting up solid wins.

The boys beat Higgins 62-38 last Friday, but only led 11-10 after the first quarter.

However, the Tigers  (8-3) outscored Higgins 28-6 in the second quarter to jump out to a huge lead and secure the rout.

Like Hahnville, Destrehan has also racked up the wins so far this season. The Wildcats have fared well in a pair of tournaments and continued their winning ways by trouncing Woodlawn 62-41.

The Wildcats are now 12-3 on the season.

While the boys looked impressive on Friday, the Destrehan girls fell to Archbishop Chapelle 27-49.
