The Destrehan baseball team improved to 3-0 in league play after a come-from-behind victory over John Ehret and a blowout win over East St. John. However, sandwiched between those victories was a 4-1 loss to Parkview Baptist.

The Wildcats trailed 2-1 heading into the bottom of the fifth inning but scored three runs in the frame to capture a slim, 4-3 win over John Ehret.
Jesse Bryant got the rally started by drawing a walk then advancing to second on a single to center by Tanner Hayes. Jace Weber bunted to advance courtesy runner Brennan Breaud to second to give the Wildcats two runners in scoring position.
That set the stage for Kyle Ray, who singled to left to bring home both Bryant and Breaud. Brennan Quigley would add what would prove to be the winning run after knocking a single to left to score Weber.
Ray led the team from the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Quigley finished 1-for-1 with an RBI, while Ryan Brewer also drove in a run.
Weber and Ryan Burks both hit doubles in the game.
Blake Hymel got the win from the stripe, giving up six hits and two runs in 5.2 innings. Hymel struck out four.

Parkview Baptist scored two runs in the second inning, which would prove to be all they needed to knock off the Wildcats.
Destrehan’s sole run came on a double by Bryant. Ray was the only other Wildcat to record a hit for Destrehan, finishing 2-for-3 on the day.
Kade Granier suffered the loss for the Wildcats, giving up three runs on three hits in five innings.
Granier struck out three in the game, but walked seven.

East St. John 4
The Wildcats scored five runs in the second inning and five more in the third on their way to a 10-run victory over East St. John on Tuesday.
Brock Benedetto and Brewer led the team to the win, both going 3-for-3 from the plate with a double and three RBIs.
Bryant drove in two runs, while Burks, Quigley, Marino and Hunter Abadie also brought runs across the plate.
Hymel got the win for Destrehan, giving up only one hit and striking out one in 1.2 innings of work.
The Wildcats will host Bonnabel on Thursday at 4 p.m. before traveling to Hahnville to take on their rival at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
