The Destrehan Wildcats picked up another district victory after the team combined to shoot 166 at Cypress Lakes Country Club.
Hahnville finished 22 strokes back for second place, while South Lafourche finished third. Thibodaux and Central Lafourche came in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Destrehan was led by Triston Wenturine, who shot a 38. Fellow Wildcats Joey Robicheaux and Braden Naquin shot 41 and 42, respectively.
Other Destrehan scores included Adam Clavelle (45) and Tate Russell (46).
Hahnville’s Colin Troxler finished with the lowest round of the day, shooting a 37. Teammate Parker Peltier finished with a 40, while Evan Cedro shot a 53.
Other Hahnville scores included Tyler Childress (58) and Jonah Arnold (65).
Last year, both Destrehan and Hahnville just missed out on advancing to the state tournament. The top four teams from the regional advanced, and Destrehan finished fifth while Hahnville came in sixth.
