Destrehan and Hahnville placed in the top four in the District Golf Tournament at Les Vieux Chenes Golf Club in Lafayette on Thursday April 20.
While St. Thomas More got the top spot, Destrehan placed second and Hahnville came in third. Lafayette placed fourth.The top four qualifiers are now eligible to compete in the Regional Competition at the Oak Wing Golf Club in Alexandria on April 27.
Joey Robichaux led the Wildcats by shooting an 80, Triston Wenturine and Adam Clavelle both carded an 87, and Tate Roussel scored a 90, equaling a team total of 344.
For the Tigers Colin Troxler shot a tournament low of 70, Aaron Bourgeois scored an 87, Garrett Lauve made a 94 and Mason Aucoin and Parker Peltier eachy carded a 96, for a team combined score of 347.
Additional teams participating in the this year’s event included Acadiana HIgh School, David Thibodeaux Charter, Comeaux High, HL Bourgeois, Thibodaux, Carencro, Central Lafourche, New Iberia, Terrebonne and Thibodaux.
