Three-year letterman Grant Authement wrapped up a very special two years as the starting safety for St. Charles Catholic.
In 2008, Authement was named an all-state honorable mention and also finished as a member of his district’s first team.
His most prestigious honor, however, was being named the most valuable player for the district on defense.
In 2009, Authement was once again named as an all-state honorable mention and was picked as a first team member for his district. He finished the year with 58 tackles, four interceptions and two blocked punts.
Authement is also a two-year starter on his school’s baseball team, where he plays centerfield.
