Hahnville High School graduate Lyndon Eusea was drafted on June 6 in the 46th round to the Minnesota Twins as a right fielder.
But Lyndon’s mom, Pamela, says that he hasn’t signed or committed to the major-league team yet.
“Lyndon graduated from Hahnville in May and was drafted in June,” said Pamela. “But he was also awarded a college scholarship to play pitcher at LSU-Eunice.”
Lyndon’s mom says that he hasn’t decided on whether or not he will sign with the Minnesota Twins or start college at LSU.
“He has a big decision to make,” said Pamela. “And actually I want him to go to college for a few years. I feel that it’s an important step toward his future.”
Lyndon first start playing baseball at 5 on parish recreational teams and went on to play throughout high school.
Minnesota is expected to make Lyndon a signing offer at the end of the summer.
