Local football stars pick their schools

At a recent gathering at St. Charles School Board, local football standouts from Destrehan and Hahnville High Schools made the college selections final, signing their letter of intent play at the next level. This was a big day for each young man as they made their final decision where to play college ball. Family, friends and former coaches gathered for the occasion.

On hand from Destrehan was Jai Eugene and Chaz Washington. From Hahnville was Sam Finn, Kirkland Wilson, Keman Jacobs and Kentrell Lockett.

Kentrell Lockett, 6-4 and 225 lbs, signed with Ole Miss where he is projected as a defensive end.

All-District offensive lineman Sam Finn, 6-0 and 225 lbs, signed with the University of Alabama at Monticello.

Defensive back Keman Jacobs, 5-11 and 190 lbs, commited to Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi.

At 6-4 and 250 lbs, offensive lineman Kevin Maddox, also signed with Delta State.

Defensive tackle Chaz Washington, 6-3 and 305 lbs, signed with the University of Miami.

Jai Eugene, 5-11 and 175 lbs, signed with Louisiana State University.
