Lady Tigers remain perfect in district

Hahnville pitcher Lauren Beadle is now 15-3 on the season after leading her team to district wins over Thibodaux and Terrebonne.

The Hahnville Lady Tigers (15-3, 8-0) remained perfect in district play after knocking off Thibodaux and Terrebonne.

The Lady Tigers got rolling late against Thibodaux, scoring eight runs in the fourth and fifth innings on their way to an 11-1 victory.

Hahnville took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning on a two RBI double by sophomore Maeson Martindale that plated Taylor Hogan and Lauren Simar.

Thibodaux cut into the lead with a run off a single in the bottom of the second inning, but the Lady Tigers got that run back in the third.

With two outs in the third frame, freshman Maddison LeBlanc drew a walk. Freshman courtesy runner Allison Plaisance then stole second and came home on a double by freshman infielder Jourdyn Hogan to give Hahnville a 3-1 lead.

The Lady Tigers began to put the game away in the fourth inning. Senior Kaylyn Morales hit a sacrifice fly to score a run, and freshman Pryscilla Prince stole home to give Hahnville a 5-1 lead.

Martindale then knocked a single to plate Simar before coming home on an error to put the Lady Tigers up 7-1.Hahnville added four more runs in the fifth to end the game early due to the mercy rule.

Prince singled in one of those runs, and T. Hogan hit a sacrifice fly to give the Lady Tigers a 9-1 lead. Hahnville’s final run of the game came on Martindale’s second double.

Martindale led Hahnville from the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Prince, T. Hogan, J. Hogan and Morales also drove in runs in the game.

Junior Lauren Beadle picked up the win for Hahnville, limiting Thibodaux to four hits while striking out four.

The Lady Tigers continued to dominate the district competition with a 15-2 win over Terrebonne on Tuesday. Hahnville got off to a quick start, taking a 4-0 lead in the first inning.

Simar knocked a single to plate T. Hogan for the first run, and Martindale singled in Simar to put Hahnville up 2-0.The Lady Tigers increased the lead by scoring on an error and a bases loaded walk.

Hahnville added six more runs in the second inning.

Martindale once again singled in Simar, and LeBlanc grounded out to third to pave the way for Martindale to slide home.

Morales doubled in two more runs, while Prince gave Hahnville a 10-0 lead with a two RBI single to right field.Terrebonne finally got on the board with two runs in the fifth inning, but the Lady Tigers put the game away in the sixth.

Sophomore Allison Arabie jacked a three RBI triple to give the Lady Tigers a 13-2 lead. She later came in to score on a sacrifice fly by Simar.

Martindale scored the final run of the game with a home run.Martindale led the Lady Tigers from the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Morales went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Arabie was 1-for-2 with three RBIs. Simar recorded two RBIs on one hit.

Beadle picked up the win, striking out four in six innings for the victory.
