“Both of the Higgins pitchers kept us off balance, but we adjusted in time to pull out a win.”

Jessica Cancienne and Bridges led the Lady Tigers from the plate by finishing with two hits each.

In the second contest, Hahnville wasted little time getting on the board. The team struck for two runs in the bottom of the first, then added one more in the second top pick up the 3-1 victory.

Ashley Landry had three hits and two RBIs and Bridges finished with a home run.

Lauren Candies was phenomenal from the stripe, striking out 14 in the win.

“Lauren controlled the game from the circle,” Vial said.

“She was challenged this week and responded. Once again, we didn’t produce enough offense to pull away, but we will work hard in that this week.”
