Lady Tigers blow past Lady Cats, 3-1

Hahnville completes season sweep with win

For the second time this season, the Hahnville Lady Tigers got the best of the Destrehan Lady Cats.

In the first district game, Hahnville shutout Destrehan in a 2-0 victory. This time Destrehan was able to score, but the Lady Tigers still pulled out the 3-1 win.

Jessica St. Pierre, Brandi Fabre and Kimberly Porche all scored goals for the Lady Tigers on Friday night. Destrehan’s only goal was scored by Holly Broussard.
The top defenders for the Tigers were goalkeeper Destiny Louviere, who made several nice stops, and sweeper Marissa Aucoin. Aucoin made plays all over the field and kept Destrehan from capitalizing on some early scoring opportunities.

For Destrehan, goalkeeper Jena Smith kept Hahnville’s shooters from increasing the lead even more, while left backer Aime Sylvester did her best to stem the Lady Tiger attack.

Though the Tigers beat Destrehan, they dropped their season finale to  Archbishop Chappelle, 2-1. Jordan Laurent scored the only Hahnville goal on a penalty kick.
