J.B. Martin student tearing it up for Terror

Austin Perrin, an eighth grader at J.B. Martin, has been tearing it up from both the plate and the mound for the Thibodaux Terror.

The Terror are one of the premier baseball teams in the state and Perrin has helped lead the squad to a 33-1 record. On the mound, Perrin has dominated with a 7-0 record and an ERA of 0.18. In 20 and 2/3 innings, he has struck out 52 while allowing only 11 hits.

From the plate, Perrin currently has a .395 batting average with two home runs, 21 RBIs, 23 stolen bases and 35 runs scored.

Perrin was just as impressive last year for the Terror when he finished the season with 19 home runs and a batting average of .495. He had a 15-0 record on the mound with 125 strikeouts.

The Terror won two separate state championships last season and are on pace to do the same again this year.
