Hurst choir takes Pelicans’ court

Members of the Harry Hurst Middle School choir, under the direction of Karl Harrod, performed the Star Spangled Banner at the NBA Pelicans vs Mavericks Game on Nov. 10th.

Eighteen members of the choir, sporting their new Music Department shirts and red, white and blue pins, proudly sang the National Anthem before the game.

The Hurst Cheerleaders led by sponsors Ericker Jackson and Melanie Zeringue and the Hurst Runnerettes dance team led by sponsors Lauren Waguespack and Missy Rome were featured as the Pelicans Prime Time Performances. Barry Guillot and the Wetland Watchers coordinated the Hurst Wetland Watchers Night with the Pelicans.  Over 250 tickets were sold to Hurst students and families and were recognized at halftime for having the largest group at the game.
