The NBA New Orleans Hornets opened their season with a huge win on the court while honoring the Harry Hurst Wetland Watcher Service-Learning Project before the game.
More than 300 people from Harry Hurst, Destrehan High WISE Club, Hahnville High, and the St. Charles Parish Satellite Center represented the Wetland Watchers at the game, with 40 of the students involved in high-fiving players and other pre-game activities. The New Orleans Hornets have been active partners of the Wetland Watchers project for four years. Pictured are ten of the students that stood at center court with the Hornets players during the National Anthem.
