HHS track star selected to All-State squad

Hahnville track star Bryce Robinson was selected to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-State team.

For track, All-State is not picked by classification. Instead, it is a composite team comprised of athletes from all divisions, from Class 1A to Class 5A, which makes Robinson’s selection even more impressive.

Robinson was chosen after he dominated the 1600 meter in the district and regional championships. Though he didn’t run the race during the regular season, Robinson won the district championship with a time of four minutes and 35 seconds.

He followed that up with a regional championship, cruising past the competition with a time of four minutes and 28 seconds.

At the state championship, Robinson led the 1600 meter field for more than half the race, but missed a chance to get on the podium by .34 of a second.
