HHS swimmers place 2nd at meet, earn 1st in 5 events

The Hahnville boys swimming team placed second at the Allstate Sugar Bowl swimming meet. Hahnville had six swimmers qualify for the finals and placed in first place in five of 11 events.

Results were: 200 Medley Relay, first with a time of 1:40:88 (Blaise Wise (back), Jay Madden (breast), Vincent Tamplain (fly) and Warren Massimini (free); 200 freestyle relay, third with a time of 1:34:51 (Destin Gilbert, Austin Burke, Seth Mullins and Joe Foucha); 400 freestyle relay, first, with a time of 3:20:14 (Joe Foucha, Blaise Wise, Vincent Tamplain and Warren Massimini); Warren Massimini, won 50 free 21:91 and 100 free 22:08; Vincent Tamplain, two top 8 finishes: 4th place 100 butterfly 53:81, 6th place 100 backstroke 56:31; Blaise Wise finished 9th place in the 100 backstroke, 57:10 and 9th place in the 200 Individual Medley, 2:02:94; Seth Mullins, 15th in 50 freestyle, 24:10; Joe Foucha, 5th place in 200 freestyle, 1:56:02; Jay Madden, 1st place in the 100 breaststroke, 1:01:30.
