HHS Offensive Player of the Year

Ahmad White
Hahnville – Position RB

Hahnville senior running back Ahmad White had a spectacular year for the Tigers, and was the driving force behind the offense’s success this past season.

White finished the year with 1,782 yards and 20 touchdowns on 314 carries. That gave him a 5.68 yards- per-carry mark. He also caught 11 passes in 2010 for 89 yards.

White was named to the All-District team.

“Everybody told me that I had big shoes to fill with Alfred Blue leaving, so I wanted to prove to everyone what I could do,” White said.

White entered the season with some personal goals that all revolved around the team.

“I did what the coaches told me to do and I tried to be a leader of our football team,” he said.

And of course, White’s fondest memory was his team’s victory over their rival.

“Beating Destrehan was my fondest memory…that’s it.”
