Washington, who was picked as a Herald-Guide Playmaker last week, got the award once again after tearing through East Ascension for 8 tackles and 3 sacks, leading his team to a 31-8 win in the process. The sophomore linebacker also knocked down several passes in the game, which helped hold East Ascension to only 77 yards and six completions.
DARRINGTON SENTIMORE
University of Alabama commitment Darrington Sentimore, who entered the season as one of the most highly recruited players in the state, had a big game against St. Amant to help lead his team to a 24-0 win.
The big senior is the anchor of a defensive line that has dominated the opposition all season long. Against the Gators, Sentimore had 6.5 tackles with 2 of those going for a loss.
