On Thursday, Feb. 14, The Hahnville High School girls basketball team defeated the Lafayette Lions 53-40 in a bi-district playoff game in Boutte. The Tigers will travel to Pineville for the team’s next game which will be part of the regional round in the playoffs.
Game highlights included double-digit scoring by senior guard Nadia Cox, who led her team with 20 points, and three steals and five rebounds by Jalacia Gullage, who scored a total of eight points.
The Lady Tigers finished the regular season 26-8 and are ranked as the No. 10 seed.
