Hahnville salutes soccer seniors

Team rallies together, defeats East St. John 11-0

Four Hahnville High School seniors, pictured at right, will soon part ways with the Lady Tigers soccer team and were saluted by fellow team members as they defeated East St. John 11-0 on Jan. 9.

The Lady Tiger defense allowed zero shots on goals and no corner kicks were played the entire game.

Defensive crew, goal keeper Alyssa Fournier along with Claire Crutti, Brandi Soignier, Courtney Speice and Jenessa Duncan contributed one goal and six assists.

The HHS offense took 33 total shots, with 20 shots being on goal and earning six corner kicks, scoring with two of them.

Game statistics are as follows: Claire Crutti – 1 assist, Jessica Hartman – 1 goal and 1 assist, Annie Kinler – 4 goals and 1 assist, Arden Robert – 2 goals and 1 assist, Jessica St. Pierre – 2 assists, Peyton Percle – 1 goal, Leslie Jefferson (senior) – 1 assist, Courtney Speice – 1 assist, Jenessa Duncan (senior) – 1 goal and 2 assists, Brandi Soignier – 1 assist, Brandi Fabre – 1 assist and Ashley Hartman – 2 goals and 1 assist.

The HHS Lady Tigers are now 12-4-1 overall and stand at 2-2 in district play in fourth place.

The Dutchtown Lady Griffins lead the district with an overall record of 14-3-2 and a district record of 4-0.
